Open Water Diver
This is the first course with certification. With this level of certification you are able to dive in the open water areas of the world guided by a divemaster or with a dive buddy in the ocean, lakes or rivers.
You may also dive in the cavern zone in the company of a guide.
This course can be done at your hotel or in Cozumel.
Once you are certified you do not need to renew or extend the certification, it’s for life!
Course Requirements
- To go for OWD, you need to be at least 10 years old and be in good physical condition
Program Outline
- Theory (with DVD), manual, dive planner, quizzes and exams.
- 6 Confined water modules with complete equipment use.
- 4 Open Water Dives from the boat with complete equipment.
