We start our adventure at the “Turtle Bay” where there are dozens of wild, free swimming turtles! These turtles have been in this Bay for centuries because of the beautiful reef that gives them shelter from bigger predators and for the plentiful delicious sea grass they eat! So, a sheltered bay with no predators, a beautiful reef with colorful coral formations and turtles everywhere you look, doesn’t sound bad eh? Well it is actually paradise!
Come and see it with you own eyes! When you will be thinking it can’t get any better than this after swimming with the turtles, we will head to a fresh water Mayan “cenote”. “Cenotes”, as called by the locals, are natural crystal clear fresh water holes in the middle of the Mayan jungle. Here, we will take you snorkeling through a maze of stunning rock formations that took millions of years to form! You can even see fossils on the walls!
The visibility in the cenotes is 100+ ft. so it seems like you are flying and natural light comes through perfectly into the water forming beautiful curtains of light you can almost touch! Prepare to be in awe and take incredible pictures! After swimming in the cenote, we will take you to the jungle surrounding the cenote where you will see many jungle animals like spider monkeys, wild boars, deer, crocodiles and more!
